People often ask me or the other staff-missionaries… “What do you do for adore?” I’m always at a loss, unable to present an articulate answer that really captures the heart of what I “do.”

People often ask me or the other staff-missionaries… “What do you do for adore?” I’m always at a loss, unable to present an articulate answer that really captures the heart of what I “do.”We are missionaries. We “do whatever He tells us” (Jn 2:5). That’s not to say that we don’t each have specific roles, but what we “do” is secondary to what we are about… our roles are secondary to the mission that He has called forth. We are a team, we are united in one heart and one mind, striving to reach people, impact cities, and transform the world. Our passion is Jesus – our passion is you. We desire, deeply, to connect heart-to-heart with people and journey together through a life filled with purpose, freedom, and intentional love. What does it mean to be a missionary? …That’s something I ask myself everyday… and his answer is different each day. The truth is, I’m still learning what it means to be a missionary. I’m still learning about the true mission of Christ – and the mission of the Church. So far, I’ve learned that it means authentically loving others… being present to the present moment… it means letting go of my own expectations… and……learning the difference between the influence of the majority and the influence of a God who relentlessly pursues my everything.Next time someone asks you what you “do” – what if you answered with what and who you are about?
