dore's presence in the Commonwealth of Virginia falls in line with the Diocese of Richmond’s pastoral plan for the New Evangelization and primarily resides in the Virginia Beach/South Hampton Roads area.  Adore missionaries serve in various roles at the Church of the Ascension, most directly by leading their New Evangelization team with a mission to direct all parish ministries and efforts to fulfill the call to new evangelization and introduce people to a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.  Adore missionaries also serve in an area-wide ladies group that meets to support, encourage, and build up young adult women, wives, and mothers in their day-to-day pursuit of holiness through individual vocations and interactions.

Adore acts as a resource to the Richmond diocese and is currently working in conjunction with the diocesan Jump Start effort to reach and disciple young adults.  To this end, Adore is supporting RVA Connect to engage young adults in Richmond, Virginia's Museum District, always in alignment with the spirit of Adore Ministries…authentic, simple, communal, and “grounded in relationship with people and what is natural to them."

Matt and Kim Hamrick

Matt and Kim Hamrick have been involved with young adult ministry in some form for the last eight years, whether its serving young adults at their parish and the Hampton Roads (Virginia) area or on a diocesan level.  Nothing excites them more than people encountering Jesus for the first time.  They particularly have a heart for reaching those not in church pews with the goodness of God and to evangelize through relationships.  They are excited to serve their local community with the mission of Adore and the authentic joy of the Gospel.  They live in Virginia Beach, VA with their son Joshua.
