Living out the Gospel in the world today is seen as counter-cultural, radical, or even a bit dangerous. But hasn’t this always been the case? Has anything changed from the way the early Church struggled and celebrated? From the experience of conversion in the face of persecution to the missionary journeys that call us beyond our comfort zones we have more in common with the first century followers of Jesus than we may realize. Join us this semester as we experience the “dangerous Church” from the book of Acts to our present day story of faith with powerful worship, a revelant teaching, and Eucharistic Adoration.

Meet the Team

Matt Ladner

Mission Contact/Worship Leader
Matt’s first profound experience of God was during 2001 when he attended Sacred Heart Boys’ Retreat #60. Unfortunately, the “seed fell on rocky soil AND thorns grew up and choked it.” His faith was shallow and the lures of the world were too much for him to handle so years of internal misery followed. Then, God cut deeper into the soil of his soul when he attended Steubenville on the Bayou in June 2008. Since then, he has an undying passion for sharing the Gospel message and Eucharistic Adoration. He is married to his incredible wife Danielle, and they have 4 children (Elise, Truitt, Cohen, and Declan).

Shea Michaels Ladner

Worship Leader
After a life-altering conversion, singer/songwriter Shea Michaels Ladner (A.K.A Brother Red) now serves as a Worship Leader at Our Lady of the Gulf Parish in Bay St. Louis, MS. He is married to his lovely wife Dee Dee, and they have two beautiful children Brendon and Brooklynn Ladner. Along with a vocation to his family, Shea also serves as a team member for the Boys Retreat of Sacred Heart in Dedeaux, MS and Co-Director of Pod Apostle. “With steady hands and a sober heart, God give me the strength to reach your people through this music that you gave me.”-Brother Red

Ray Lacy

Worship Leader
Ray Lacy has been serving as a youth minister in the diocese of Biloxi since 1999. He is passionate about bringing the Gospel message and nights of worship and Eucharistic Adoration to people from all walks of life. He has been married to his beautiful wife Mandy since 2003, and they have 3 great kids: Mackenzie, Peyton, and Mia Clare. “…I have come that you might have life to the full.” John 10:10

Want to thank you and your ministry for the wonderful service at St. Charles Borromeo in Picayune Ms on April 14 of this year. I attend mass every Sunday at 5:30 p.m., recently lose my husband and attending mass is very up lifting. The Lord Jesus had helped me in so many ways since his passing that I know he is over seeing me. My purpose of this is to thank you for such a heart moving experience for me to be their and listening to the people singing was such a loving heart. I signed up at the end of the service with my name and e-mail, will love to go to the next one if it is close in my area.

Everything in church made me feel peaceful, closer to Jesus by listening to the songs, watching the mass. You did such a heart moving experience for me, I know I said before, but I was crying because of my spiritual feelings. Please thank your staff that were their that night because they were great.

Once again, thank you,God bless you,
